Earlier this month, KFVS-TV Heartland News out of Cape Girardeau, MO featured the Southeast Kids in Action (SEKIA) students as they participated in cooking lessons at Gabriel’s Food + Winein Cape Girardeau. The students learned how to make delicious pasta and meatballs from scratch with a few Italian lessons sprinkled in. We are sure the kids will put their new skills to good use by making delicious meals for their families!
SEKIA is a recreational and developmental group for youth ages 8 – 18 who are blind or visually impaired and who reside in Southeast Missouri. The group meets once a month to participate in a fun, interactive activity. Past events included golfing, canoeing, tennis lessons, and aerial aerobics.
